Research Abstract |
This study is an actural research of oral instruction. Oral instruction is considered to develop from two different backgrounds : (1) a communicative means through speech sounds and gestures in preliterate societies and (2) an educational methods in Japanese traditional performing arts. This study focuses on the latter aspect of oral instruction, referring to perfoming arts in Shinto ritual held in (1) Mamehiko Shrine, Nara, (2) Kamikamokawa-Sumiyoshi Shrine, Yashiro, (3) Kushihiki Shirine, Yamagata, and so on. This study clalifies that performing arts in Shinto ritural is very simple and has very few actions, and these have some paticular Kata (forms). When this Kata is succeeded as the paticular and strict forms, oral instruction is and efficient and appropriate method.
