| Research Abstract |
研究代表者は指数型分散モデルの基礎的な性質として、符合つき対数尤度比のグラム-シャリエ展開が各点収束することを示した。このことは、この変換が単なる正規化変換より強い意味を持つことを明らかにした。平均の検定等への応用が考えられる。ところで分散が平均の2次四季以下の指数型分布族は6つしかなく、直交多項式が密度の微分で得られることが知られている。しかし代表的な正値分布である逆ガウス分布の分散は平均の3乗であるため、密度より直交多項式は得られない。そこで、逆ガウス分布に従う変数に分数変換を施すとカイ自乗分布に従うことから、直交関数系を導き出した。この結果はハーバード大で開かれた国際会議での招待講演として報告され、来年度刊行される。現在は完備な関数系を求めることに成功し、準備中である。これにより多変量逆ガウス分布が導出されると期待される.
一方、衛星からのリモートセンシングデータは、センサーの往復運動によりデータを収集しているため、幾何補正後も横縞ノイズが残る。そこで,画像の縦方向、および横方向への高速スムージング手法を提案し、人工データで良好な結果を得られることを示した。また、ランドサット画像への適用を行なった。間瀬は粒子の大きさの分布についての推測について、平面での断層画像から推測する手法を考察した。
本研究のため、種々の分野の理論的研究者、実務家との討論、情報交換、研究連絡を行なった。これらの研究成果は談話会等で口頭発表し、討論を加え、さらにテクニカルレポートとして国内外に発表した。
