グラニュライトの形成過程に関する構造地質学的岩石学的研究

Research Abstract

東ゴンドワナ各地の原生代変動帯について、とくに構造、変成事件史およびグラニュライトの形成機構について文献収集、整理、解析を行った。さらに、南インドのグラニュライトについて、年代学と岩石学を中心として各方面の解析を行った。これらの成果は国内外のシンポジウムにおける学術講演9題で報告されたほか、国際・国外誌などに12編の学術論文及び2冊の学術論文集(11.研究発表参照)として発表された。以下に主な研究成果を簡単に記す。
1.東ゴンドワナの先カンブリア代における接続具合について、信頼度の高いモデルを提案した。そして、東南極をとりまく11億年変動帯を示し、周東南極変動帯と命名した。そして東ゴンドワナの誕生は、この周東南極変動に関係していると示唆した。
2.約5億年前のパンアフリカ変動は、周東南極変動帯の大部分の地域で著しい熱的、構造的若返りをもたらしていることを指摘した。
3.Sm-Nd年代分析により、インドのマドラスチャルノカイトが、約30億年前にグラニュライト相変成事件を被り、その後25億年前に熱的再構成を被っている可能性を示した。
4.南インドにおいて貴石、宝石鉱床区を示した。そして、この地域の含貴石ペグマタイトは、その形成機構、分布と年代の類似性から、パンアフリカ期のグラニュライト形成事件をもたらした火成活動と関連していると示唆した。
5.グラニュライト相カルクシリケート岩類の岩石学的研究を総括し、とくにヴォラストナイトに関係した研究が、CO_2流体の役割の考察のうえで重要であることを指摘した。また、南インドグラニュライト帯において、チャルノカイト形成におけるカルクシリケート岩層の役割を解析した。
