Research Abstract |
The low dimensional conductive material is of interesting to research on the relationship between the electrical structure and the dimension. It is necessary to obtain the sample which appears high orientation with wide area for the purpose of research on their own low dimensionality. However there are a few one dimensional materials of which structure and properties are clear. One of the candidate of this low dimensional material is one dimensional graphite. The structure of one dimensional graphite is that benzene ring is connected one dimensionally. It has been reported that the one dimensional graphite fiber of which cross section is square was obtained. Further thin film could be synthesized from same starting material. The purpose of this work is to make the condition of synthesis of one dimentional graphite (fiber and thin film) and their properties clear. 1.One-dimensional graphite fiber 1.1 It was found that the addition of H_2O makes the synthesis of the fiber effective. 1.2.We make sure the fiber synthesis conditions (rate of raising temperature, flow of Argon gas, heating temperature and time). 1.3.The electrical conductivity of fiber itself could be obtained. From the analysis of diffraction pattern using TEM we obtained the information on the film structure. 2.Conductive thin film 2.1.We could synthesize the highly conductive thin films which are stable in the atmosphere with different thickness. 2.2.From the analysis of electron diffraction patterns of this film, it was found that the structure of this film is similar with that of graphite and (002) plane is parallel to the surface of the film.
