Research Abstract |
The new type test method to evaluate the adhesive performance of concrete joint was proposed in this research. This test is a kind of bond test between concrete and steel bar originated by Schmidt-Thro. By coinciding the bond splitting crack surface and the concrete joint surface, it was possible to know the adhesive performance of concrete joint. Test results showed that the bond splitting strength was well correlated to the conventional direct tension test of concrete joint.
