The purpose of this study is to clarify high temperature cyclic oxidation behavior of Fe-20Cr-4Al, Fe-20Cr-4Al-0.1 (Y,Pr, Gd, Ho, Ti, Zr), Fe-20Cr-4Al-0.5 (Y,Pr, Gd, Ho, Ti, Zr), Ni-20Cr-1Si and Y-, Y_2O_3-, CeO_2, Al_2O_3-coated Ni-20Cr-1Si alloys. Oxide scale on the Fe-20Cr-4Al and Ni-20Cr-1Si allys spalled during each cooling time. On the other hand, Oxide adherence of the Fe-20Cr-4Al with reactive elements and Y-, Y_2O_3-coated Ni-"20Cr-1Si aloys was markedly improved. It is suggested that good oxide adherence of the Fe-20Cr-4Al alloys with reactive elements is obtained by change of direction of growing oxide on the alloys. Good oxidation resistance of Y- and Y_2O_3-coated Ni-20Cr-1Si alloys may be attributed to the formation of fine and dense Cr_2O_3 on the alloys.
