Research Abstract |
The conventional pesticide residue analyzes by instrumental methods using gas chromatography, high performance liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry are accurate, but require time consuming, expensive equipments and skilled technicians. In this rsearch, we developed the rapid, simple and high sensitive enzyme immunoassay for pesticide residue analyzes in environmental samples and imported agricultural products using monoclonal antibodies. Monoclonal antibodies against several pesticides were produced and the assay performances for these agrochemicals were optimized. The working ranges of assay were 10-1,000 ng/ml for insecticide aldicarb and methomil, 1-100 ng/ml for aldicarb sulfon and parathion methyl, and 0.5-10 ng/ml for herbicide chlorpropham. The results of measurement of pesticides in environmental samples (water and soil) and agricultural products (potato, orange, cabbage) spiked with pesticides showed high recovery without cleanup procedure. This immunoassay for pesticide residue will be applicable to monitoring of residue in water samples and agricultural products, or can be used in conjunction with instrumental methods.
