EPAおよびDHAの乳癌発生,増殖、転移に及ぼす影響およびその機序について

Research Abstract

(1)高転移性乳癌細胞株(MM48)をマウスに移植し、リノール酸、EPA、DHAを投与した結果、腫瘍の増殖は対照群およびリノール酸群に比して、EPA群およびDHA群で有意に抑制され、肺転移は対照群に比してリノール酸群で促進され、EPA群およびDHA群では抑制される傾向にあった。また、生存期間は対照群に比してEPA群で有意に延長され、DHA群で延長される傾向にあった(Kinoshita K,Noguchi M,et al.In vivo 1994;8:371-374)。
(2)DMBA誘発ラット乳癌に高純度のDHAやEPAを投与し、乳癌の発生、増殖における抑制効果を検討する研究は現在、進行中である。
(3)ヒト乳癌細胞株(MDA-MB-231)をリノール酸、DHAおよびEPA添加下に培養し、細胞の増殖および^3H-thymidineの取り込みを見ると共に、細胞内のProslaglandin E(PGE)およびLeukotriene B(LTB)を測定した。その結果、MDA-MB-231細胞の増殖にはPGEおよびLTBの両方が関与している知見が得られ、現在、投稿準備中である。
