Research Abstract |
(1) Articles were written by the head investigator and investigators, concerning theories or experimental lessons using calculators/graphing calculators in mathematics education from elementary school to university. (2) Thirty-three varieties of teaching plans for mathematics lessons from 7th grade to 12th grade were made. (3) Basic keystrokes and first steps of graphing were made for Casio, Sharp, TI models. (4) Information exchanges were done with researchers and teachers in USA and in Australia concerning articles using graphing calculators. (5) Mathematics textbooks by UCSMP in USA and SMP in UK were analyzed concerning calculators/graphing calculators. (6) AP calculus problems by CEEB in USA were analyzed concerning calculators/graphing calculators. Some of the results were contained in the interim report titled "Mathematics Education using Calculators/Graphing Calculators : From Elementary School to University".
