| Research Abstract |
In order to establish an integrated system for safety evaluation, analysis, and treatment of waste chemicals, following basic researches have been done.
As for safety evaluation of waste chemicals, new simple and reliable testing method, which is performed using SC-DSC with different heating rates, was proposed for detemining self heating substances and that applicability of the testing methods were indicated.
And then conventional analytical sequences to identify unknown chemicals was re-investigated, and substituted analytical methods was proposed for non-safety and/or non-reproducible testing methods. Also safety evaluation and qualitative analysis of specific harmful chemicals for waste chemicals were added to form the integrated system.
Moreover, applicability of the explosion treatment for waste explosive chemicals were indicated by using the 10g scale experiments with were carried out with some energetic materials as model compounds. Safe small scale testing methods for explosion treatment evaluation using primary explosives was also proposed.
