Research Abstract	新プログラム「分子システム」の第四年次を完了した。今年度も、その経費の55%を設備費に投入し、分子機能学創成に最も必要な構想形成に努力を集中した。各班の研究指針は、第二年次から明確に打立てた旗印、即ち:A-1分子環境、A-2高機能性物質、A-3光デバイス構築、B-1分子複合系導電性高分子、B-2分子フォトニクスシステムをより鮮明に打出すことに力を結集した。その成果は、各班毎に下記に記載する。また平成6年度の研究集会は、“分子システム"の研究手法に焦点を合せてその課題を「分子システムと新研究手法」とし、平成6年12月12日から14日の間岡崎(分子科学研究所)に於いて開催した。 A-1班は、 1.溶媒和時間に制限されることのない新しいタイプの分子間電子移動の機構を研究し、反応経路における分子間座標と原子座標の役割を明らかにしつつある。異性化反応の研究において、はじめて「遷移状態の振動量子化状態」を分光学的に発見することができた。 2.超臨界流体中のクラスターの動的挙動を実験的に求め、これと流体中の化学反応との関連を理論的に考察する事を目標とした。前者では一定個数の溶媒分子を持つクラスターのみを取り去った後、その回復時間を測定するホールバーニング法を用いた。種々の困難のため実験途上であるが、次年度に向けての問題点が整理できた。後者では、電子移動の速度についてモデルを立て、実験値と良い一致が得られた。 3.ベンゼン及びその誘導体やナフタレン等のカチオンを2個から10個程度の中性同種分子に混合させた芳香族分子小集団系では、すべての系で電荷が常に2個の分子に局在し、これが近赤外光を高効率で吸収するエネルギー吸収中心となっていることを明らかにした。更に、常温液体のベンゼンでも同様の吸収中心が存在することが分かった。これらの系で電荷移動を利用したエネルギー変換を起こさせる可能性について調べている。 4.ミセル溶液中のベンゾフェノン誘導体の光反応により生成する三重項ラジカル対や均一溶液中の三重項ビラジカルの寿命は、約2Tまで増加後2T-14Tの強磁場で顕著に減少する。この強磁場効果を理論的に説明した。 5.白金表面上に吸着したメタンの光化学について、気相では真空紫外光によってのみメタンの解離が見られるのに対して、白金表面上でははるかに長波長の紫外光によって光解離が起きることを明らかにした。 A-2 … More 班は、 1.四角酸結晶の分子間一次元素結合系におけるプロトン移動とカップルした電荷ソリトンに基づくと思われる新規誘電特性を見出した。 2.シリコンのクラスター、ポリマー及びオリゴマー系における光電レスポンス情報が、その構造の次元性に強く依存していることを明らかにした。 3.金属(Au,Ag,Al,Cu,Mg:仕事関数が異なっている)とポルフィリンとの界面電子構造を系統的に調べ、光電レスポンス情報に重大な影響があることを示した。 4.(BEDT-TTF)系の超伝導分子システムの特異的な電子構造(強い電子相関、反強磁性秩序、ジョセフソン接合性)をもつことを鮮明にした。 5.C_<60>(TDAE)錯体の単結晶作製に成功し、強磁性発現に関する重要な知見を得た。 A-3班は、光合成反応中心における光電荷分離反応のモデル系として、亜鉛ポルフィリンダイマーを電子供与体とし、フリーベースポルフィリンを経てピロメリトイミドに伝達する三成分系が、生体系に極めて近い反応速度とイオン対生成収量を与えることが分かった。バクテリアの光合成反応中心タンパク質複合体の235nm励起紫外共鳴ラマンスペクトルの測定に成功した。860nmの光を同時照射して電荷分解をさせた場合とさせない場合とで、トリプトファンとチロシンの分子振動に差が出ることが明らかになった。光制御を用いた高効率物質変換系として、電気化学的手法を用いた高効率炭酸ガス還元による有用物質への変換を試みた。またCO_2還元の新材料としてダイヤモンド薄膜電極を作製し、顕微ラマン法による構造評価を行った。 B-1班は、 1.単分子膜によるナノスケール構造構築と電子機能制御をめざし、両親媒性ポリチオフェン単分子膜のピコ秒蛍光分光により、共役高分子の励起子緩和過程を詳細に検討した。またδ共役をもつオリゴシラン単分子膜の、STMによる電界リソグラフをおこない、ナノスケールのエッチングを行うことに成功した。また、ポルフィリン2次元高分子超薄膜を金単結晶上に構築し、そのネットワーク構造をSTMにより明らかにした。 2.ポリ(3-アルキルチオフェン)等の側鎖置換型導電性高分子-フラーレンシステムにおける顕著な蛍光の消光、光伝導の増強、光起電力効果が光誘起電荷移動で説明できることを光有機吸収において、C_<60>^<-1>を観測し確認した。同様のシステムにおいて長時間の継続するpersistent光伝導を発見した。さらに側鎖置換型導電性高分子と強誘電性液晶の複合体において特異な強誘電性と電気光学効果を、またフォトクロミック分子との複合体において光伝導記憶効果をそれぞれ発見し、その機構を解明した。 3.カーボンナノチューブの磁気物性を調べ、その電子物性を明らかにし、この試料では常磁性が存在しないことが分かり、非常に"きれいな"半導体であることが明らかとなった。一方、強磁性体であるTDAE-C_<60>について、その強磁性転移に伴う比熱の変化を、断熱カロリメトリー法によって解析した。その結果、12.5Kで明確な強磁性転移を示すことを明らかにした。また、PTCDAのプラズマ重合物について、ESR解析を行い、その局在準位についての知見を得た。 4.2つのフォトクロミック分子、ジアリルエテン及びスピロピランを含むLB多層膜を作製し、励起子伝達を光によりスイッチングする素子において、2つの異なる波長の光を入力信号とする2入力型論理素子をつくることに成功した。2つの入力信号に対する論理応答として、AND,OR,NAND,NORをはじめとする多くの論理演算が可能となり、このことは現在使用されている論理ゲート集積回路と等価な演算素子を、分子システムの光化学を応用してつくる可能性を見出した。 B-2班は、 1.光と熱の2つの刺激を受けて初めて消色するフォトクロミック分子システムとしてオリゴチオフェンをアリール基とするジアリールエテンを合成した。チオフェン環の数が3の場合、室温ではほとんど光消色しないが、温度を150度にまで上げると量子収率が33倍にも増大し、光消色することが認められた。また、本実験の過程において、液晶状態においてもフォトクロミック反応するジアリールエテンを見出した。 2.狭いバンド幅の発光スペクトルを持つヨウロピウム錯体を発光材料に用い、微小共振器構造を持つ積層型エレクトロルミネッセンス素子を作製した。誘電体スタックミラーと金属電極で構成されるファブリーペロ-型共振器の共振器長を適切に調節することで、鋭い空間指向性を示す発光を取り出すことに成功し、微小共振器構造を有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子に導入することで、自然放出光を制御できることを確認した。 3.新規なπ電子系starburst分子群を設計・合成し、アモルファス分子材料創製のための分子設計指針を提出するとともに、カラス状態からの緩和過程を明らかにした。また、創出したアモルファス分子材料がエレクトロルミネッセンス素子の優れた正孔輸送材料として機能し、素子の寿命を飛躍的に向上させることを明らかにした。さらに、側鎖にオリゴチオフェンを含むビニル型高分子を合成し、優れたエレクトロクロミック材料となることを見出した。 4.電子供与体(D)、色素(S)および電子受容体(A)の間を共有結合で連結し、その間の結合鎖の長さと電子移動速度との関連を明らかにした。LB膜の配向、膜の均一性をAFM、FFM(摩擦力顕微鏡)、SSPM(表面電位顕微鏡)で評価し、構造と機能との関連を調べた。SNOAM(近視野光学・原子間力顕微鏡)の試作とその微小領域の吸光度及び蛍光強度分布測定・スペクトル測定、及びその光記録への応用を検討した。 Less
