Research Abstract	今年度は日本から上野,飛田および荻野の3人を派遣し,またフランスからソバ-ジュ教授を招へいした。上野,飛田および荻野は,フランス研究分担者の研究室を含め,フランス,ドイツ,英国およびオーストラリアの関連する研究を行っている研究者を訪問し,またソバ-ジュ教授は研究代表者(荻野)の研究室の他何人かに超分子の研究者を訪問し,それぞれ講演,研究調査および情報交換を行った。荻野およびソバ-ジュ教授は学会での招待講演も行った。今回の学術交流により、各研究者が独自に開発してきた研究手法や技術をお互いに採り入れ合うことができた。また,研究代表者が主要な研究テーマとしているケイ素,ゲルマニウム,リン,硫黄,セレン等を含む錯体およびクラスターに関する最先端の研究を行っている多数の海外の研究者と直に接触し,長時間のディスカッションを行なったことは,双方にこれらの化合物に関するより深い理解と研究の展望を与えると共に,研究を活性化するという意味で大きな刺激ともなった。本研究により,研究代表者らはクラスター骨格の一部に反応性有機金属フラグメントを取り込んだ複合的構造を持つ幾つかのカルコゲニドおよびカルボニルクラスターの合成に成功した。また,クラスターについて最先端の研究を行っているブラウンシュタイン教授および超分子研究の第一人者であるソバ-ジュ教授の助言を受け,従来から行ってきたケイ素,ゲルマニウム,リン等の第三周期以降の元素と金属との結合を含む幾つかのクラスターの合成に成功し,現在さらに超分子合成への展開を模索中である。
