Research Abstract

最終年度に、ヒト遺伝病およびモデル生物のゲノム構造、ゲノム情報について更に研究を深める必要が生じたため、仏側の研究分担者にPatrice BouvagentならびにJean Thierry-Miegの両博士を追加した。両者は日本で共同研究に従事した。
本年度は、平成7、8年度におけるフランス科学研究庁(CNRS)生命科学部Galibert副部長らとの協議にもとづき、共同研究の推進と、若手研究者を主体とした研究交流と共同研究の活発化を図った。共同研究としては、榊佳之班員、大木操班員、藤山秋佐夫班員(ヒトゲノム構造解析)、吉川寛班員、小笠原直毅班員、村上康文班員、伊藤隆司班員(微生物ゲノム解析)、高木利久班員(ゲノム情報解析研究)、松原謙一代表(cDNA解析)が中心となって共同研究を行った。松田文彦(研究協力者)はパスツール研究所(パリ)、CNRSモンペリエ(モンペリエ)を訪問し、ヒト免疫グロブリン遺伝子領域についての研究交流を行った。フランスからはPatrice Bourvagnet、Piotr Slonimski、Antoine Danchin、Jean Thierry-Mieg(いずれもCNRS部長)が来日し、日本側関連研究者と共同研究を行った。
平成9年12月には、松原謙一代表、藤山秋佐夫班員に加えて若杉尋(研究協力者)がCNRSパリ本部を訪問し、生命科学部Samarut本部長、Galibert副部長らと、3年間の共同研究の総括ならびに今後の協力関係の維持、発展に関する方策について協議を行った。その結果、(1)本研究により相互理解が深まり、研究者間の信頼関係が醸成され、それに基いた新しい共同研究がいくつか開始されるに至った。(2)既に成立している共同研究を一段と進めること。(3)研究者交流による相互理解と啓発を継続的に図ること:特に若い研究者の交流を促進し、将来に向けて長期的な相互協力の土壌を耕すことが重要である。ということで意見の一致を見た。3年間の活動の総括レポートは国際誌に発表する予定である。
