| Research Abstract |
場の理論に現れる種々の問題を数学的に理解したり、そこから得られた結果をより一般の場合に拡張する研究をしている。
まづ、舟橋久仁生、柏太郎、迫田誠二氏とともに有限次元のあるsymplectic多様体上で成立するDuistermaat-Heckmannの定理が量子力学に於いても成立するか?という問題を研究した。そして分配関数がそのWKB近似にexactに等しくなる量子力学のmodelsを構成した。
次に、北門新作、大貫義郎氏とともに球面上の量子力学から自動的に出てくるゲージ構造(BPST-インスタントン、Fujii-インスタントン)の研究をした。更に球面をグラスマン多様体に拡張する研究を続けている。
また、個人では2次元のWess-Zumino-Witten modelと3次元のFeretti-Rajeev modelを任意次元の球面上に拡張する試みをした。これらを量子化することは難しいが、これらをeffective modelsとする量子論を構成することは(発散の困難はあるが)非常に面白い問題である。
