Research Abstract	カルバゾールデンドリマ-やカルバゾールオリゴマーを合成し、その光導電性および電気光学効果を調べた。また、ポーリングによってこれらの色素固体薄膜は二次非線形光学応答を示すことを光第二高調波発生により確認した。このポーリングした薄膜がフォトリフラクティブ効果を示すことを2光波結合により確かめ、これら多機能性色素が有機モノリシックフォトリフラクティブ材料として有望であることを見いだした。(雀部) 位相共役光を発生させる際の偏光特性の異なる二色素を混合した高分子膜では、二色素の混合比を変えることにより、非線形感受率の実部と虚部の値を変えることと、ある程度位相共役光の偏光状態を制御することが可能となることを実験的に確認した。この二色素混合膜を偏光保存の位相共役光の発生、多色位相共役光の発生や位相共役干渉法などへ利用することを検討している。(藤原) 末端に一つまたは二つの置換基をもつオリゴチオフェン誘導体の合成を行い、それらの分子構造と電子物性について検討した。オリゴチオフェン類は、内部ビチオフェンがジグザグ配座に連なった分子構造をとることがわかった。二置換誘導体では、置換基の電子求引性の増大とともに最長波長吸収帯の長波長シフトが観察され、また、ほぼ電子求引性の順に非線形光学効果も向上した。一方、一置換誘導体では、二置換体の吸収スペクトルにみられる傾向と同様の性質を示したが、非線形光学効果は置換基の電子求引性の強さとは相関せず、ブロモ体が最も大きな分子超分極率<γ>を有することが分かった。(尾島)
