Research Abstract	磯貝はアブラナ科植物につき,SLG(S糖タンパク質)のアンチセンス遺伝子を導入して得られた和合型の形質転換植物の形質が,交配によって後代に伝わること,形質の変化は柱頭側のみおきていることを明らかにした。さらにSRK(S-レセプタープロテインキナーゼ)について,そのキナーゼ領域を大腸菌で発現させ,自己燐酸化能があることを証明した。渡辺はアブラナ科植物のSLG,SRKについて,ゲノム遺伝子を単離し,それらをプロモーター領域を含め明らかにした。また,ゲノム中の類似遺伝子の存在とその一部のS遺伝子座への連鎖を証明した。崎山は,ニホンナシの自家不和合性を支配するS-RNaseを単離し,そのアミノ酸配列を決定し,保存領域を明らかにした。さらにこれをもとにcDNAライブラリーから相当する遺伝子を単離し,その塩基配列を決定した。神山は,トマトを材料として,これまでに明らかになっているS-RNaseの塩基配列のうちの可変領域についてそれらを相互にいれ換えたcDNAを作成し,これを形質転換する準備をすすめている。また,サツマイモについて,2次元電気泳動によって,S遺伝子座に特異的なスポットの存在を明らかにした。鎌田はニンジンを材料として,アブシジン酸による不定胚形成能の獲得の機構を解析し,この情報伝達に関わる遺伝子を単離した。さらにアラビドプシスからも,関連の遺伝子を単離した。北野はMUN受精卵処理による突然変異を利用して,イネの初期胚発生の多数の変異体を作出し,それらの遺伝的解析を行っている。塚谷はアラビドプシスを用いて,低分子GTPaseが,花粉管の伸長に関わっていることを証明し,この遺伝子産物がゴルジ体およびその周辺の小胞に局在することを明らかにした。
