Research Abstract |
In the study on natural disaster science, locality analyzed wth database is one of two main factors which control the law of natural disaster occurrence. In order to make clear the characteristics of natural disaster, it is necessary to follow the recent changes of some dominant factors of the and locality to predict near future trend in acompany with urbanization. Especially, Tokai, Tonankai and Nankai earthquake disasters may sequentially occurs until 2050 and serious damage in the wide area from Tokai district and westward with seismic ground motion and tsunamis. The overall damage was introduced with Geographycal Information Systems. The maximum tsunami height and the shortest arrival time of the first tsunami are predicted to make tsunami evacuation manuals. The numerical simulation technique is useful to reduce loss of human lives due to quick arrived tsunami. Another main factor is history of occurrence of catastrophic natural disaster. In the study, the Hanshin district suffered from Great Hanshin-Awaji earthquake disaster was examined from the view points of historical disaster. The severely damaged area was overlapped with lawland in the process of formation of coplex fan-shaped landform. In the Kinki district, the excavation of remains shows that large scale flooding changed the social systems due to largeness of damage.
