Research Abstract |
1. Immunological investigation on intractable oral mucosal lesions with special focus on oral mucosal cancers The cytotoxic activities of anti-CD3 induced LAX ceUs were sbicied with oral scwmous cell carcinoma derived target cells after preincubation with chemotherapeutic reagents such as CDDP, 5FU, PEP, BLM.The cytotoxic activity varied with reagent applied, HLA class I, II expression also showed some variations. 2. lrrvestigation on immunological response through coslimulatory molecules in intractable oral , mjcosal lesions Mouse model of hapten induced contact dermatitis were studied. Strong increase of CD86 expression on Langerharis cells and some increase of CD8O, CD86 both positive cells were observed after skin sensitization. The skin reaction was depressed by ackninistration of anti-CTLA-4 antibody. 3. Investigation on prognosis of intractalAe oral mucosal lesions Multivariate evaluation of prognostic determinant factors for oral squamous cell carcinomas using Cox'proportional ha

zards model revealed that pattern of invasion in histopathology, T classification, treatment modality were most significant prognostic factors. Other oral mucosal lesions such as oral precancerous lesions like oral letkoplakia, oral precancerous condition related lesions like oral lichen planus were also studied. 4. Investigation on clinical features of intractable oral mucosal lesions Clinical featres of Siogrerfssynch-ome and xerostomia were mostly investigated. Diagnostic criteria for Siogren's syndrome play key role for differential diagnosis of the both diseases. Head investigator attended working cornmrttee for revision of Jaanese diagnosbc cnteria in Japanese Association for Sjogren's Synckome. Total number of 823 cases of Siogren's synciome inducing normal control was assayed for sensitivity and specificity in diagnosis using various revised criteria. Final revised diagnostic criterion for Siogreri's syndome has completed through discussion in Japanese Association for Sjogren's syndrome. Less
