Research Abstract

In recent years, a great deal of Buddhist scholar attempt to set forth the Tsong Khapa's Buddhist Philosophy. Tsong Khapa (Tsong kha pa Blo bzang grags pa'i dpal) who lived from 1357 to 1419, is one of the typical Buddhist Masters in the Tibetan Buddhism and gives a key to the correct interpretation of the Buddhist Philosopy.
Tsong Khapa, following Mahayana tradition, systematized the development of Indian Buddhist Philosopy in the view point of Madhyamika-^<**>Prasangika tenets. He wrote five major works on Madhyamika philosophy.
Great Exposition of the Stages of the Path (Lam rim chen mo, 1402)
Medium Exposition of the Stages of the Path (Lam rim 'bring, 1415)
Essence of the Good Explanations (Legs bshad snying po, 1407)
Ocean of Reasoning, Great Commentary on (Nagarjuna's) "Treatise on the Middle Way" (Rigs pa'i rgya mtsho rtsa shes tik chen, 1407)
Illumination of the Thought, a commentary on Candrakirti's Supplement to (Nagarjuna's) "Treatise on the Middle Way" (dGongs pa rab gsal, 1418)
In this term, We investigated that five works and translated two works of these.
