Research Abstract |
Prints and film copies of most of the glass negatives of the photographs taken by Myochin Tsuneo have been made, providing the general public with an easy access to the photographs and consequently adding to their importance as research materials. Detailed notes on information obtainable from these photographs have been produced, focusing on the classification of the photographed objects and their comparison with the present condition of them. Yamamoto, Maruyama, Asami and Matsuda researched sculpture, Adachi researched historical documents and meterials, and Kato researched works of decorative art under the supervision of the Head Investigator. Investigations at places where the photographed objects or related materials are presently located were also done for confirmation. Through the research not a few items have been identified for the first time since they had been photographed.
