| Research Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to clarify the inhabitants' consciousness concerned with disaster prevention resources and selectivity on the district facilities which are designated as the disaster prevention facilities. The questionnaire survey on selectivity was carried out at ten areas in five cities (Hachinohe-shi, Akita-shi, Niigata-shi, Sendai-shi and Shizuoka-shi).
And we analyzed using Quantification method III and cluster analysis.
The important findings of this study are summarized as follows.
(1) The educational facilities are understood for compound facilities (disaster prevention base, place of refuge, supply facilities, etc) in disaster.
(2) Inhabitants rely on a hospital as a first-aid station in disaster.
(3) The inhabitants' consciousness on the disaster prevention facilities is classified the 5 large types and 7 small types of selectivity patterns.
(4) These selectivity patterns are related to the attributes of people and the location of district facilities.
(5) Concerning human resources of the disaster prevention activities, the inhabitants' consciousness is related to relationship with a neighborhood.
