Research Abstract |
In this research, we developed and tested the following basic technologies to build and operate a wide area ATM network. (1)IP over ATM protocol : Algorithm to decide the most suitable parameters for IP over ATM. (2)IP SVC : A protocol to multicast data on an ATM network. (3)Video on ATM : Protocol to utilize video information on an ATM network as well as Internet. In addition, architecture for video database is designed. (4)Distributed and parallel compiler : Compiler for heterogeneous environment. (5)Distance learning system : Development of MPEG over ATM technology and its application for distance learning. (6)Network management : Pseudo-SVC technology and network management program.
