| Research Abstract |
<研究方法>研究課題の内容が地域研究の性格を持ち、さらに研究事項が環境問題から安全保障問題まで分野的広がりをもっているところから、研究は、課題に関する北欧・バルト諸国の原資料を収集すると同時に、北欧理事会主催の下に、1996年9月の10日、11日の2日にわたってラトヴィアの首都リガで開催された「バルト海沿岸地域議会会議」に招請され出席した機会を利用して最新の情報を入手し、著述と国際会議での発表という形で研究を結実させた。
<研究成果>研究課題が、社会科学的分野において極めて学際的であり、また事項的に多岐にわたっているので、研究成果もまた間接的成果と直接的成果に分けることができる。
1.間接的成果。研究課題を周辺から固めていく研究成果としては、欧州統合法研究北欧審議会が1996年11月ヘルシンキで主催した国際会議「北欧環境法に与える欧州統合法の影響」における発表(題目「国際環境条約-他利的環境安全への模索-」、発表言語はスウェーデン語)がある。内容は、バルト海地域にも関わっている。間接的成果には、A new concept of security and the role of altruistic regional cooperation for the Nordic countries. Visions of European Security,Olof Palme International Center,1996.もある。2.直接的成果。直接的成果は、著書『バルト海地域統合の研究』(高文堂出版社、1997年7月発行予定)である。
