| Research Abstract |
地球観測衛星からのTMデータと呼ばれるデータは、センサーの往復運動によりデータを収集しているため、幾何補正後も横稿ノイズが残る。そこで、画像の縦方向、および横方向の各ラインに対し、1次元のベンズモデルを仮定し、ノンパラメトリック回帰に基づく高速なスムージング手法を提案した。また、従来から提案されている高速フーリエ変換を用いた方法,クロスバリデーション,カルマンフィルタを用いる方法などと比較して良好な結果を得られることを示した(投稿中)。
また、TMデータでは7チャンネルあるセンサーのうち遠赤外を観測するセンサの解像度が他の1/16しかない。ここでは遠赤外のデータが多変量正規分布に従うと仮定し、条件付き期待値により遠赤外データを予測し、解像度を改良することを提案した。この結果を国際シンポジウムIGARSS′95で発表した。会場でこの研究に興味を持つロシアの研究者と交流し、今後共同研究に発展する見込みである。このシンポジウムでは2分岐型のカテゴリー分類法について、従来手法との比較も報告した。
統計学の基礎研究に関して、逆ガウス分布の完備直交関数系について考察した。逆ガウス分布に従う変数に分数変換を施すとカイ自乗分布に従うことを利用して、直交関数系を導き出した(掲載済み)。さらに3つの完備な関数系を求めることに成功し、投稿中である。
本研究のため、国内の種々の分野の理論的研究者、実務家との討論、情報交換、研究連絡を行なった。得られた研究成果は談話会等で口頭発表し、討論を加え、さらにテクニカルレポートとして国内外に発表し、論文誌に投稿した。
