励起原子・分子の光イオン化の研究---磁気ボルト型電子エネルギー分析の改良

| Research Abstract |
本研究課題は、研究のほとんど行われていない準安定状態など励起状態のイオン化断面積測定を、この目的に適した磁気ボルト型電子エネルギー分析器に改良を加えてゆくことにより実現しようとする計画の一環として行っている。研究計画書において記したとおり、本年度はこのエネルギー分析器の調整・改良を時間的制約の大きい放射光実験施設においてではなく、通常の実験室で可能なようにHel真空紫外光源を購入・設置し、当初の計画に従い電子エネルギー分析器の改良作業を進めた。
また、この研究の基礎となる基底状態分子の光イオン化、解離過程についてもこれまで行ってきた研究を発展させ継続して行った(II.研究発表のリスト参照)。
すなわち、O_2,CO,N_20といった基本的な二・三原子分子について、極紫外光を照射したときの真空紫外発光の励起関数を測定しこれらの分子の超励起状態を経由した中性解離過程を調べた。また、N_2については、そのイオンサテライトが関与する反応について解離性光イオン化励起の励起スペクトルをイオン-光子同時計数法を用いて測定することにより研究した。さらに、一連の炭化水素化合物について、これまで実験の困難であった極紫外領域における光吸収および光イオン化断面積の絶対測定を行った。
いずれも放射光を光源として用いて、入射光のエネルギー範囲15〜70eVの価電子励起の領域における反応を調べたものであり、本研究課題の最終目標である励起原子・分子の光電子分光実験に関連する基礎データである。
