Research Abstract

1.タイでの環境影調査と環境教育 研究分担者であるMonthip S.Tabucano先生はタイ王国国立環境研究所長・訓練センター長であるので,環境影響調査と環境教育に協力して頂き、昨年11月下旬、同研究所で環境影響調査と環境教育に関するシンポジウムを開催した。韓国,日本及びタイに関して大気汚染や水質汚濁の例についての研究報告があり,熱心に討論した。なお,地球温暖化防止京都会議の直前でもあり,CO_2の測定について,タイ側から質問もあり,韓国・気象廳務安気象臺で公式に測定しているの見学しているので,韓国の李 敏熙分担者に調査依頼した。
次に,バンコクから北へ650Kmに位置する北部のランパーン(Lampang)県にあるメモ(Mae Moh)発電所を調査した。定格出力は3,225MWであり,タイ全発電量の約20%を占める最大の発電所である。露天掘りで推定埋蔵量が15億万トンあるメモ渓谷産亜炭を微粉炭とし使用している。13の全ユニットの水缶ボイラはこの亜炭をおもに使用している。低質炭である亜炭は大気汚染物質(発熱量を基準にすると,れき青炭に比較して,4倍程度の硫黄酸化物,1.5倍程度の窒素酸化物,2倍程の粒子状物質)を排出している。これらの問題について発電所関係者と討論した。
2.東アジア地域の環境調査事例報告会 今年2月16日,本研究班が主催して金沢市内で本報告会を開催した。全 浩分担者による「中国における廃棄物の現状と問題点」や李 敏熙分担者による「韓国・務安における二酸化炭素の測定」等の環境調査の事例報告があり,県民・市民にも開放したためもあり,多くの討論があり,有意義であった。
3.第9回国際学術研究公開シンポジウム「環日本海域における酸性雨・雪」 昨年9月下旬,研究調査のためほぼ全員が金沢に集合したついでに上記の公開シンポジウムを開催し,県民・市民に環境教育を実施した。「新しい地球時代と環境」のテーマで研究協力者以外のNTTファシリティーズ研究開発部の川越 祐司に「クリーンエネルギーと環境」を,キリンビール(株)北陸工場長の鍛冶 克彦に「環境創造を目指すキリンビール工場」等もお願いし,好評をえた。
