| Research Abstract |
1.We discussed on a septum magnet and decided to use a super conducting septum magnet at the Hall A Hypernuclei collaboration meeting on May of 1996. We decided that Italian group makes the super conducting magnet and Japanese group makes a scattering chamber, beam duct and correction coil.
2.We participated the first kaon experiment of p(e, e'K^+)at Hall C in the fall of 1996. Preliminary results were presented at Spring Meeting of American Physical Society in 1997.
3.We proposed a budge in order to built a septum scattering chamber to Monbusho and it was approved. We built the scattering chamber and shipped it to Jefferson Lab in 1997.
4.We participated the experiment of^<16> O(e, e'p)which is the first experiment at Hall A.We have had experiences on treatment for the High Resolution Spectrometer and data acquisition system.
5.We presented a proposal entitled of " EIectroproduction of Hypernuclei on ^3He and ^4He" but it was deferred until demonstrating a 500 keV resolution by the alreadyapproved experiment.
6.A paper entitled of "Longitudinal and Transverse Cross Sections in the ^1H(e, e'K^+)LAMBDA Reaction" forp(e, e'K^+)was submitted to Phy. Rev. Lett.
