Research Abstract |
The result of the study of drinking water in the Mongolian Central and Gobi regions allow us to reach the following conclusions . (1) The temperature of water is low and all the pH levels recorded were above 0.0. (2) Most of the test points have bacterial contamination and the content of NOィイD23ィエD2ィイD1-ィエD1 was high . (3) The EC , TER , ION of the water show high amounts of dissolved substances in Mongolian water . The concentration of water Na , Cl , S , Ca , and Mg were high as were the amounts of micro elements such as Fe , W , Ti , V , Ta and As . (4) There were many water test points containing high amounts of FィイD1-ィエD1 , which can cause caries in teeth and high concentrations of sulfate ions in water which may cause some gastro-intestinal disturbances , such as diarrhea . First , a 300w wind generator was developed using a generator recycled from an automobile's engine . However , wind speed velocities in Mongolia are usually between 2 to 4 meters per second . There wind generat

ors showed low power efficiency at low wind velocity . Therefore we had to change the design of the wind generator because of the limited ability of automobile generators to produce power efficiently . The new generator uses a permanent magnet system and it was shaped and specially treated to control torque at start up . Power can be obtained at about 1 meter per second wind velocity from changing the magnet position in the generator . As a result , power was obtained efficiently by a small wind generator that can make power under Mongolian weather conditions . (1) It has been clarified that the energy production of Mongolia has to be clean for the geographic and climatic conditions . (2) The amount of the sun energy irradiation in Mongolia is much larger and steadier than that of South-Kyushu . (3) It has been clarified that the construction of the solar battery power plant is effective for the culture and economy of Mongolia . (4) It has been determined that the acquisition of water , the construction of the food-base , and the construction of the enterprise is possible by constructing a large-scale solar battery power plant . (5) Research on the M-S-O-M type solar cell which is able to be manufactured cheaply and easily was carried out . Cell efficiency of about 1% was obtained in our work . By advancing the research further , we will attempt to improve the cell efficiency , and the possibility of solar cell manufacturing in Mongolia . Effectiveness of the solar battery in Mongolia . Construction development of small wind generators suited for Mongolian nomadic families . The Properties of drinking water in the Mongolian Central and Gobi regions . Less
