Research Abstract

1996年12月に、総合研究A「地殻の発達過程のモデリング」のメンバーと合同で,千葉市検見川セミナーハウスニオイテシンポジュウムを開催した.参加者は,岩石学・鉱物学・構造地質学・地球化学など多分野にわたり,全体で50名に達した.シンポジュウムは,(1)超高圧変成作用,(2)岩石の部分融解および(3)地質現象のモデリング,のセッションに大別され,それぞれの分野における現時点における到達点と問題点について議論した.その結果は,総合研究Aの報告書の一部としてまとめられる.
1997年1月には本基盤研究(総合)の主要なメンバーが名古屋大学に集まり,上記の総合研究での議論をふまえ,今後優先して行うべき課題について討論を行った.これらについてのまとめは,「地学雑誌」上で順次発表される予定である.また,研究成果の公表促進とともに,様々なデータが公表され他の研究者がそれを自由に利用できる環境を整えることの重要性岩石確認された.そして,岩石組織や組成累帯構造などの画像データを含めて,少なくとも最近5年間に公表された論文の基となった情報をデータベースとしてまとめ,将来的にインターネット上で公開する準備が話し合われた.
1997年度は,阿武隈変成帯での現地討論会を行う予定で,院生・学生を含めた多くの人に参加を呼びかける予定である.
