Research Abstract	1.病原細菌の定着・増殖に関与する因子について以下の結果を得た。 (1)H.pyloriの尿素走化性には、cheY,cheWの遺伝子の関与が考えられる。 (2)緑膿菌のバクテリオシン遺伝子bac21はバクテリオシンを産生・分泌する。 (3)緑膿菌のfuri遺伝子は菌の生存の必須である。 (4)腸炎ビブリオのFur boxをもたない鉄結合能をもつ蛋白の遺伝子を単離した。 (5)P.gingivalisのfimA上流領域にompAのhomologを見つけた。 2.病原細菌の細胞障害性因子について以下の結果を得た。 (1)腸炎ビブリオ染色体のPhysical mapを作製し、病原遺伝子群の局在を解析した。 (2)ウェルシュ菌のθ-毒素遺伝子及その周囲の大きな欠損をもつ株を分離した。 (3)P.gingivalisのジペプチジルアミノペプチターゼIVの外膜での局在を解明した。 (4)Bacteroides fragilisの細胞毒性の解析で溶血性尿毒症の発症が示唆された。 (5)Clostridium histolyticumのコラゲナーゼはコラーゲン結合ドメインを持つ。 (6)ボツリヌスC型Progenitor toxin中のHA componentは小腸微絨毛に結合する。 (7)黄色ブドウ球菌の2成分蛋白毒性ロイコシジンの構造と識別機構を解明した。 (8)緑膿菌の細胞溶血毒素の活性化はC末端領域のプロセッシングによる。 (9)連鎖球菌NAD分解酵素のコードする塩基配列を決定した。 (10)赤痢菌の上皮細胞内での運動にはVirGがNeural-Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome Proteinに特異的に結合することが必須である。 (11)サルモネラ菌の2成分系因子PhoP/PhoQで発現制御されることが知られているpagG遺伝子が血清抵抗性遺伝子の一つであった。
