Research Abstract	1. 病原細菌の定着・増殖に関して以下の結果を得た。 1) ポルフィロモナスの2成分制御系遺伝子領域の構造を明らかにした(吉村)。 2) 腸球菌の広域バクテリオシン産生分泌遺伝子群を解析した(池)。 3) ビブリオのFur大量発現に成功し、Fur制御遺伝子の同定を行った(山本重)。 4) ヘリコバクターの胃内運動性にウレアーゼが必須であることを明らかにした(中澤)。 5) 緑膿菌のdnaJ,grpEが増殖に必須であることを証明した(津田)。 6) 黄色ブドウ球菌の熱ショック誘導遺伝子と、ウエルシュ菌のquorum sensing機構を解明した(林)。 2. 宿主障害因子に関して以下の結果を得た。 1) ガス壊疸菌は2種類のコラゲナーゼにより組織コラーゲンを分解することを明らかにした(岡部)。 2) ポルフィロモチスのペプチダーゼが病原性に関与することを認めた(吉川)。 3) バクテロイデスのノイラミニダーゼ遺伝子関連遺伝子の解析と本菌による溶血性尿毒症の症例を報告した(大西)。 4) A群レンサ球菌のNAD分解酵素遺伝子を単離した(中村)。 5) コレラ菌エルトール溶血毒のレセプターとしてグリコホリンBを同定した(本田)。 6) ボツリヌス毒素の各HA成分が小腸微絨毛にシアル酸依存的および非依存的に結合することを証明した(小熊)。 7) 黄色ブドウ球菌溶血毒の膜ポア形成における複合体構築を解明した(神尾)。 8) 赤痢菌のIpaによる細胞内シグナル伝達とVirGによるアクチン重合の誘導機構を解明した(笹川)。 9) 腸管出血性大腸菌の薬剤耐性が家畜由来である可能性を示した(山本達)。 3. ゲノムに関して以下の結果を得た。 1) 腸炎ビブリオのゲノムが2個の環状染色体より成ることを明らかにした(本田)。 2) サルモネラのビルレンスプラスミド(46kb)の塩基配列を決定した(檀原)。 3) 緑膿菌のφCTXファージの全ゲノム配列を決定し、類縁ファージを明らかにした(寺脇)。
