Research Abstract	井出はマウスendonuclease IIIホモログ(mNTHL1)を発現精製し、酸化的塩基損傷に対する修復活性を解析した。石井は線虫の酸素感受性短寿命突然変異体mev-1の遺伝子が、呼吸鎖に存在するシトクロームb560であることを見い出した。張はMutYが8-oxoG:GからGを除去することによってG:C→C:Gトランスバージョンを抑制することを明らかにした。山本は大腸菌RibAタンパク質は8-oxodGTP/8-oxoGTPを基質とするフォスファターゼ活性も持つことを明らかにし、MutTのバックアップ系の存在を証明した。米井は大腸菌の酸化ストレス応答の発現とセンサータンパクの再還元にレドックス維持酵素の制御があることを見いだした。湯川は活性酸素によりdiacylglycerol(DAG)上昇を介して活性化されるproteinkinaseC(PKC)の系にphospholipase A2(PLA2)の関与することを明らかにした。葛西は5-hydroxy-dCTPおよび5-formyl-dUTPの大腸菌への導入によりlacI遺伝子に変異が誘発することを見出した。久保はマウスendonuclease IIIホモローグ活性の細胞内分布状況に臓器による差のあることを見いだした。桑原はH_2O_2暴露されたヒトリンパ芽腫MOLT-4細胞のアポトーシス誘発にSAPK/JNKの膜から細胞質への移行とリン酸化が必要であることを証明した。滝本はDNAをリボフラビン光増感処理5時間後に大腸菌に導入したところmutY株ではGC→CG塩基置換が増えることを観察した。田野はカタラーゼ欠損のマウス細胞、大腸菌変異株を用いて、酸化ストレスに誘導される突然変異を検討した。峠は活性酸素に対する適応応答の調節囚子OxyRの活性がS-S結合の形成・還元により制御されることを明かにした。森明は分裂酵母cDNA2700クローンの遺伝子発現パターン解析で新規活性酸素誘導遺伝子を同定した。
