Research Abstract	本研究では、溶媒和、溶媒交換反応、分配平衡および速度、界面錯生成反応、界面電荷移動平衡と速度、相関輸送過程での励起化学種、界面吸着などを基礎化学の立場から研究してきた研究者が協同して、液・液、液・膜界面反応の化学的理解の到達点を見極め、未解決である重要課題を抽出してその克服法を探った。とくに、界面の持つ特異な物性と分子認識能の関係に注目し、近年急速に発展してきた光化学的、電気化学的な界面物性・界面反応測定法を含む多様な測定法によって得られた結果の総合的密な評価を行った。また、このような作業を通して、新しい分子およびイオンの選択的認識法の開発理念の構築と生体内反応の化学反応としての理解の深化を図った。具体的には、以下の項目について重点的に調査した。1.液液、液膜界面の構造と物性、2.液液、液膜界面での電荷(イオンおよび電子)移動の速度と機構、3.電荷の膜透過とそれに付随する特異現象の電気化学的理解、4.液液、液膜界面電荷移動における溶媒和、錯生成反応の役割、5.溶媒抽出機構の電気化学的理解、6.液液、液膜界面電荷移動に立脚した新分析法、7.液液、液膜界面界面構造の新解析法。本研究は次のように進められた。まず、7月に全体会議を2日間開催し、本研究課題に関して調査の方向を討議し、各分担者が本研究に果たす役割を分担した。後、各分担者がそれぞれの課題について、分担分野別の会合を重ねながら調査研究した。次いで、研究の成果を11月京都で4日間に亘り開催された国際セミナーに持ち寄り、本分野で最先端の研究を行なっている国内外の研究者と討議し、今後の研究の方向と国際的な視野での共同研究の可能性を探った。なお、同国際セミナーには、本研究分担者の他、国外12名、国内76名が参加した。現在、本研究を重点領域研究に発展させるための努力を継続中である。
