Research Abstract |
We developed experimental apparatus and experimental techniques necessary for the development of surface electron momentum spectroscopy (SEMS).They are summarized as follows. 1. The construction of a multi-channel electrostatic spectrometer and high-resolution programmable power supply for the electron optics. 2. Preparation of condensed molecular crystallized layers grown on low temperature atomically clean surface of metals, and development of experimental system for the structural analysis of ordered adsorbed layers using an optics of low electron energy diffraction. 3. Analysis of charge transfer process between atoms and highly charged ions using coincidence spectroscopy which is closely related to SEMS
