Research Abstract |
(1) Indoor multipath propagation measurement with high time delay resolution A home-made channel sounder has revealed the mechanism of indoor multipath propagation characteristics in 3GHz band. (2) Analysis on indoor multipath propagation Three dimensional indoor propagation predictions by ray-tracing considering the effect of windows penetration were done. The results has shown a realistic delay profiles resembling the experimental results. (3) Consideration on generating method of Active fading From above results, Active fading generating method has been investigated to ensure the best performance. The resulting method is the simultaneous transmission of signals from the antennas positioned at the center of the room with slight offset. This was estimated by a graphical simulation tool developped by investigator. (4) Construction of laboratory experimental setup for bit error rate measurement A laboratory experiment system was set up for bit error rate measurement under Active fading environment and frequency selective fading environment. This system ensures the performance comparison between above two fading environments. (5) Considerations on bit rate enhancement For future work, to achieve more than a hundred Mb/s transmission rate, frequency division multiplexing will be considered.
