Research Abstract |
The aim of this study to estimate of the damage for dental alloys by corrosion, and design the system of corrosion measurement. The method was selected coulostatic method from electrochemical measurement. Full computer control apparatus need to use the coulostatic method as monitoring system of corrosion. Therefor potentiogalvanostat Model283 (SEIKO EG&G), personal computer(IBM) and software Model352/252(SEKO EG&G) was got by this grant. However the Model352/252 software was not able to control the coulostatic measurement. Then we improved the software, but it was very hard work. So we leave it the SEIKO EG&G. Potentiostatic method was applied to use the monitoring system of corrosion instead of coulostatic method. The results of dental alloys were obtained by means of potentiostatic method (Table 1). In artificial saliva the susceptibility of dental alloys to sulfide corrosion can rank to use the monitoring system of corrosion, Additionally it has to calibrate and confirm to investigate applicability. Potentiostatic method is simple procedure as same as coulostatic method, but measurement time is so long. If the software for coulostatic method is improved, we will applicant of coulostatic method to the monitoring system of corrosion.
