Research Abstract |
Software for monitoring, recording and analysis of bio-electrical signals was developed. The software works on a popular computer of NEC PC98, IBM PC-AT and their compatible ones with an A/D converter of some companies. It does not need any special equipment to make the monitoring system. Some analysis programs also work on Macintosh.. It can enable recording for long duration with marks for analysis and monitoring both of fine wave form and signal trends during long duration. Besides these function as measuring apparatus, programming function can be used. It works like a tinier and gives some functions. Progress of experiment can be shown and controlled by programming their time schedule. It is also used to control stimulus and measure reaction time. Spectrums can also be monitored with the special external program parallel with recording. A portable recorder can be made with notebook type computer and PC cards. Prepared functions for the analysis of recorded data are display of recorded signals, conversion to text files, spectrum analysis by FFT, measurement of R-R intervals of ECG, detection of maximum and minimum blood pressure, integration of amplitude, calculation of amplitude probability distribution function of EMG, calculation of CNV, reading of calibration peak, calculation of simple distribution of sampled data Conversion for two other software is also supported. Though this software does not support graphical interfaces, it works efficiently by batch procedure. We believe it is useful for many studies. It is a free soare.
