Research Abstract

We have prepared hybridomas producing anti-adenovirus monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) after immunization of BALB/c mice wilh adeno virus infected Hela cells. Most of mAbs reacted with all adenovirus types except one. The latter reacted with type 37 and possessed virus neutrolizing activity. Using a pair of mAbs, C14 and C27, we developed sandwitch ELISA. C27 was conjugated with alkalinephosphatase. This system was able to detect any type pf adenovirus with sensitivity 100-1000 fold higher than the others.
