Research Abstract

1.超短パルス反射計システムを制作した。光源としてパルス幅65ps電圧8Vのインパルス発振器を用い、信号処理は8-17GHzを増幅後、ピンダイオードスイッチ及びフィルタバンクにより10チャンネルに周波数分割し、高速検波ののち超高速トランジェントディジタイザによりA/D変換する方法を採用した。
2.受信器の時間応答テスト、及び金属ミラーを用いた反射計システムのシミュレーション実験を実施した結果、空間分解2cmが得られた。
3.超短パルス反射計との性能比較に用いる、周波数8-24GHzの超高速周波数掃引形反射計を製作し、ガンマ10セントラル部密度分布測定に適用した。高速掃引(<20μs)に依存して密度分布再構成の信頼度が向上することを確認した。
4.平成8年度より、超短パルス反射計の原理的実証に関する日米協力実験も開始した。米国ではTEXT-U他、日本ではガンマ10装置を対象とし、実機適用と比較検討を行っていく。
5.超短パルスマイクロ波のプラズマ中伝搬に関する計算機シミュレーションを拡張し、反射波及び透過波の解析とともに、磁場揺動の存在により散乱波の偏波面が変わるモード変換散乱波の発生を導出した。散乱過程は、入射波、プラズマ波、散乱波の波数間でブラッグ条件を満足していることを見出した。モード変換散乱に対するブラッグ条件については、低周波波動を対象にした実験においても確認されている。
任意の波形、偏波面、中心周波数、及び位相速度のパルスと粒子の相互作用に関する、理論・計算機シミュレーションを実行した。特に、電磁波による粒子加速の観点から、無磁場時加速、サイクロトロン加速、及びカオス的加速について解析し、通常波とインパルスの相補性に関する評価を行った。
プラズマ計測のための超高速マイクロ波モノリシック集積回路(GaAs-HBT)の試作を開始した。
