Research Abstract

1.超短パルス反射計を製作した。光源としてパルス幅65ps振幅8Vのインパルス発信器を用い、導波管によりチャープトパルスとした後、8-17GHzマイクロ波増幅器で増幅し入射波とした。反射波信号は、増幅後フィルタにより周波数分割し、検波したのち超高速トランジェントディジタイザによりA/D変換した。同時に、ディスクリミネータとTAC(Time-to-Amplitude Converter)によりパルスの時間差波高変換を行うシステムも製作した。
2.本システムをガンマ10セントラル部プラズマに適用し、インパルスのフーリエ成分の周波数毎に、異なるカットオフ層までの伝搬に対応する飛行時間差を得た。この結果と干渉計で得た密度分布との比較を行い、両者が一致していることを確かめた。また、TACにより測定された飛行時間の揺動は、トムソン散乱の周波数スペクトルと一致し、本システムが密度分布および密度揺動分布測定の両者に有効であることを初めて実証した。
3.超短パルス反射計との比較に用いる、周波数8-26GHzの超高速周波数掃引形反射計を製作し、ガンマ10セントラル部に適用した。高速掃引(<20μs)とともに密度分布再構成の信頼度が向上すること、また、信号の計算機処理法の改良により、掃引速度への要求が緩和されることも確認した。
4.新しい計測器開発を行うためのプラズマ診断シミュレーターの研究に着手した。シミュレーションコードでは、反射法やモード変換散乱法に対し、波動伝搬に関する順問題、密度分布再構成に関する逆問題等の計算を行い、種々の磁場閉じ込めプラズマの高精度計測のための入射周波数やパルス幅等の知見を得ることができる。
5.分散性パルスと荷電粒子の相互作用に関する理論シモュレーションを実行した。分散性パルスは、他のパルスや正弦波と同様に、荷電粒子を捕捉あるいは加速することを確認した。また、この捕捉の効果は低密度電子ビームにより励起されるラングミュア乱流において重要な役割を果していることが分かった。
超高速マイクロ波モノリシック集積回路(GaAs-HBT)を製作し、プラズマ計測に初めて適用した。
