Research Abstract |
We meaured radon concentration in a various rooms of Ibaraki National College of Technology and student homes with passive type Rn gas monitors. We meaured radon concentration in a various rooms of a primary school with passive type Rn gas monitors. To check our meaured radon concentration values, we meaured the radon concentration in typical rooms with three types of radon gas monitors. One is conventional passive type radon gas moniter, the others are UFO type (get Rn/Tn values separately, developed by Dr. Doi) and static electric field method type monitor developed by Dr. Iida(Nagoya university). Using radon gas chamber at EML in USA, we tried another type test measurments to calibrate real radon concentration. Those facility, ortholized by goverment is non in japan. Our experiment in the classrooms and students' homes succeeded to cultivate the interest on radioisotopes to students. Those experience is necesary, especially in Ibaraki Prefecture.
