Research Abstract |
We investigated and obtained following results on the development of integrated simultaneous acquisition system of test data and brain infomation of language, cognitive and mental functions for diagnosis as well as treatment evaluation of language and thought disorders. 1.We applied the feature extraction and correlation analysis method to brain functional data during language and thought processes in order to clarify the importance of coincident cerebral functional modules localized and associated by fast rhythmic activities. 2.We constructed a on-line task presenting system in order to test mental and language functions by computer-controlled audio-visual presentation. 3.We confirmed the applicability of data-base on mental test on normals and schizophrenics to subjective evaluation of language and thought disorders. 4.We elucidated the necessity of such as structure-function corresponding model between 3D object of brain massive and scalp surface object for final routine integrating test and analysis. 5.We confirmed the priority of network user interface by Java and moving data files by Quick Time 3.0 for interactive manipulation of multiple combined data in picture format. 6.We completed the integrated test and analysis system and examined the system for practical application to conclude that more than 128channel EEG/MEG data are necessary compared to recent high resolution fMRI and also that technique of multiple simultaneous measuring on brain functions should be established.
