Research Abstract |
This study aims that we can clear the basical terms of ethics which are used in Japan. We selected the following words, 'dotoku=moral', rinri=ehics', 'gimu=duty', 'ryosin=conscience', 'kazoku=family', 'jinkaku=personality', 'ai=love', 'jiyu=liberty, freedom', 'seigi=jusutice', 'kanyo=tolerance', 'kohei=fairness', 'toku=virtue' They have traditional meaning, while they were, in a term, created as a corespondent word with europian word. We analyzed these terms on following view points, which are 1.the meanings re-modern Japan, 2.the process when they are trancelated from european terms, 3.the meaning in modern Japan, and then try to build a stock of new knowlledge. We have presented a few papers concerning 'family=kazoku' and 'responsibility=sekinin' on this study, and will further present new knowledge.
