The vegetational reconstruction and the dendrochronological application on subfossil forest, ca.13,000 yr BP,buried by the Hachinohe Tephra at Ikenai Site, Akita Prefecture were studied. Subfossil woods show establishment of Picea forests accompanied Abies in the Last Glacial Age. Crosspdating succeeded among 5 trees and 3 trees is dead in the same year. We made the standard tree-ring index of Picea on the subfossil forests under the Towada-Hachinohe Tephra at the east of the Towada Volcano. Cross-dating succeeded between individuals of this study and tree-ring index, and revealed that the terminal rings were formed in the same year. The vegetational reconstruction on the subfossil forests, ca.25,000 yr BP,buried by the peat at Dekishima, Aomori Prefecture, were studied. Subfossil prentiful woods show establishment of Picea and Larix forests in the Last Glacial Age. It seems that the forests buried by a becomming to high water level and suddenly deposition of peat sediment. The buried forests found at Shariki, Aomori Prefecture, were studied paleobotanically and chronologically, were showed the temperate deciduous broad-leaved forests mainly composed by Fagus crenata. The vegetational reconstruction on the subfossil forests, ca.13,000 yr BP,buried by the Asama Tephra at Karuizawa, Nagano Prefecture, were studied. Subfossil prentiful woods show the sub-boreal coniferous forests mainly composed of Picea, Larix, Abies, Pinus pumila.
