| Research Abstract |
1986年に起きたチェルノブイリ原発事故は隣接するベラルーシ共和国に高度の放射能汚染をもたらした。放射能汚染地域に住む小児は、今もってこれらの放射性核種による被爆を受け続けている。
われわれは、1991年からの調査の結果、抗腫瘍免疫の一翼を担うナチュラルキラー細胞機構に奇妙な異常が出現していることを見出した。、白血病の疫学調査は、検査結果が信頼できる1991年から遡って行った。放射能汚染地域の中核病院(ゴメリ州立病院)に入院した小児白血病患者87名と非汚染地域のビーチェフスク州立病院に入院した小児白血病患者46名の臨床検査所見を比較した。放射能汚染地域では、慢性骨髄性白血病の頻度が高いこと、急性リンパ性白血病患者発症時の貧血の程度が高いことが判明した。今年度はさらに詳細な検討を行う予定である。
