| Research Abstract |
タイ、ラオス、中国、インドネシア、ミャンマーでマラリア調査を実施し、アクリジンオレンジ(AO)法による診断とNested PCR法を用いた遺伝子診断法による診断結果を比較した。
1)タイにおける調査はミャンマー国境のメ-ホンソンで5月に実施し、合計97名のマラリア陽性標本が得られた。AO法によるこの診断結果はNested PCR法を用いた遺伝子診断法により再確認され、四日熱マラリアの検出率は約10%の9例であった。
2)ラオスの調査は6月に南部のチャンパサック省パクソン県で実施し、58名の患者が検出きれた。現在、Nested PCR法による診断を継続中である。
3)中国の調査は四川省の名山県で7月に実施し、検出された36例全てが三日熱マラリアの単独感染であった。
4)インドネシアでは9月およぴ10月にハルマヘラ島中部のオパ県パヤヘ村を訪問し、パヤへ付近の4村で疫学調査を行なった。総数119名のマラリア感染者を検出したが、現在もNested PCR法による診断を継続中である。
5)ミャンマーのマラリアの疫学調査は、11月にシャン州ラッショーと南部モン州モ-ラミャイン付近の村で実施した。シャン州では、145名の感染者が検出され、多くの患者が熱帯勲・三日熱マラリアの混合感染であった。モン州では142名の感染者の内、13例の四日熱マラリアと1例の卵形マラリアが検出された。四日熱マラリア症例では、昨年見いだされた19塩基短い新型の四日熱マラリアは11例を占め、正常な四日熱マラリアはわずか2例のみであった。
