| Research Abstract |
PEBP2はα,β2つのサブユニットよりなる転写因子でありαサブユニットをコードする遺伝子は3種〔Pebp2αA,Pebp2αB (AML1),Pebp2αC]である。このうちPebp2αB/AML1は血液細胞の分化、白血病病因と関連して重要であるが、本年はじめてこのたんばくに内因性の転写活性化ドメインを同定できた。更にこの転写活性化ドメイン及びラントドメインと呼ばれるDNA結合ドメインは近傍の領域により分子内抑制を受けていることも明かになった。また白血病原性のあるキメラたんばくAML1/ETO(MTG8)が骨髄系前駆細胞32Dc13の終末分化を阻止することも明かになった。一方Pebp2αAは鎖骨頭がい異形成症の原因遺伝子である可能性を示すことができた。
