Research Abstract

本研究では、計算機の並列方式のテクニックを導入し、ポリエチレンを対象に、結晶、非晶、折れたたみなどを複雑に含むバルクな固体について、果たして、どの程度、実際の構造をシミュレートできるのかを探ろうとしている。
(1)昨年度、計算機を複数台組み込んだシステムにセットしたソフトを用いて、ポリエチレンの結晶構造について、その構造および物性の温度変化の詳細を計算し、実測値と比較した。格子定数の温度変化など実測を非常に良く再現することが確認された。
(2)水素化および重水素化ポリエチレン試料などについて振動スペクトルを測定し、計算値が出来るだけそれらのデータを再現できるようにポテンシャル関数のパラメーターの精密化を行った。
(3)(2)の試料について、特に極低温での振動スペクトル測定に成功し、計算値との比較を行った。
