Research Abstract

In the United States, education is basic social function for more perfect union and for cultural diversity. In this aspect, educational autonomy and control are basic key words for understanding what is an American education.
More than 20 investigators are studied in various historical aspect of educational autonomy and control in the four groups as follows:
1. Social Ideas of educational autonomy and control.
2. Educational autonomy and control in education policy and administration.
3. Autonomy and control in American school and college education.
4. Ethnicity, gender, minorities and educational autonomy and control.
We finally made the grant-in-aid scientific research report in well over 200 pages which are contained 15 investigators' research papers. This is one of the best educational research papers concerning history of educational autonomy and control in multi-cultural society America.
