| Research Abstract |
特異点の具体的な解消理論の研究に関しては、トーリク埋め込み理論を更に具体的にして、岡の著書Non-degenerate complete intersection singualrity,Hermannにこの方面での研究をまとめた。これは代数幾何学の専門家でない研究者に役立つと思われる。小田はトーリク埋め込み理論の一般論やこの方面での最近の話題をまとめ、今後の研究指針を与えた。
平面曲線の基本群と有限分岐被覆写像に関しても著しい研究進展が見られる。Zariski対の研究やAlexander多項式の研究に関して、北大の島田、高知大の徳永、岡等の著しい成果があった。また1997年7月都立大学で研究集会(代表者、岡)を行い、平面曲線の補空間の基本群、有限被覆の構成、Zariski-van Kampenの方法の方法をつかって、岡はあてられた曲線から出発して無限のZariski対の具体的構成方法を確立した。基本群の生成元と関係式を使ってAlex、多項式を計算させるプログラムの作成(岡の博士課程学生のPho氏が作成)、また諏訪、輿倉の複素葉層構造とその特性類の研究にも完全交差の多様体の上でChern特性類の優れた成果が発表された。
複素葉層構造とその特性類、また局所ミルナ-束との関係の研究、特異点のunfoldingと分岐集合の決定、またその補空間の基本群及びモノドロミ-作用、分岐集合とモノドロミ-表現の研究等に関しては1997年11月に鹿児島大学で研究集会(代表者、興倉)を行い、この方面の研究成果の報告と今後の研究テーマを議論した。実特異点論で3次元多様体との関連で佐伯は擬斉次多項式と位相不変性でよい結果を得て、発表した。Laudal教授(ノルウェー)も参加した。
